I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Terry present several times over the years, and hearing about his family’s shower habits. 
One of my favorite anecdotes that he has presented was about how a physicist vacuums carpet. You’ll have to ask him about that sometime.

Leigha D.: I think a physics degree is one of the most versatile degrees there is. But then, I may be a little biased.  
 
Cameron T.: Yeah, I immediately thought of you when he started talking about the difficulties with museums. And yes, he does go to Summer Camp. In 2011, he, Gary Nelson, and Collin Olson did a full day on blower door testing, and this is what Joe said about the session: “Are you kidding? This is the ‘Dream Team.’ No one, and I mean no one knows more about air leakage testing of buildings than these folks.” 
 
Armando: Glad you liked it Armando. I’m putting together a list of people I want to interview for future articles here, and I hope to get some of them next month in New Orleans at the ACI conference. 
 
Dale S.: Yes, there definitely should be a part 2! And I just realized I need to put a link to the EPA moisture guide that he wrote. 
 
Henry A.: I think a lot of us in this field can credit the 1973 oil embargo and the 1979 Iranian revolution for our involvement in this field. I know I’m one, even if I didn’t make my way in until about 15 years ago.

Terry Brennan was a speaker in Syracuse, NY, back when the oil embargo gave money for energy classes that I took. I have followed energy conservation to a large degree in my own personal environment, Good to read to article.

Great interview, Allison. I first met Terry when I started working in weatherization R&D; in the late 80’s. Terry is one of those rare unsung scientists that works on all fronts in this field, from crawling through the bowels of a house to training others to helping the EPA get the right perspective on IAQ.
