I have not seen any info on foaming Mobile Homes/Manufactured Homes. I have a double wide Mobile Home on a foundation. Can you tell me if these particular homes are able to be spray foamed?

Thank you,

Keith Hanrahan

I am new to the world of foam but used it to hopefully solve my 12″ cathedral ceiling problem which was leaking due to venting and insulation problems in such a small space. Our Northern Ontario -35 nights don’t help. I filled the roof with 10″ of foam with no air space.

When I read in the article and came to the part about water vapour exiting the foam my first response was why would you use open celled foam. My city doesn’t require a vapour barrier on the closed foam as they consider the foam a barrier itself.

Great web site applying physics and engineering to real building problems.

thanks
