You won me over on making suggestions about clarity. Luckily for me you rarely leave any typos to correct. Also, it is rare that you don’t make ideas speak clearly and directly to the reader. I have read a ton of your work and have come to have ultimate respect for your teaching skills. Please keep on keeping on. You are making the world a better place. To me, that is a very big deal, for which you ought be proud.

Don’t ever hesitate to point out typos or unclear parts, Bill. I’m not a person who can’t admit mistakes because I wouldn’t be able to live with the cognitive dissonance if I were. :~)

I have always admired your writing skill and learn something new every time I read your work. Here you proved your skill yet again by listening to the discordant note and responding by raising its communicative level brilliantly and succinctly. Excellent work on a difficult topic that needed better explanation.

Bill: Thanks for pointing out the typo. I rewrote the sentence when before I published it and left an extra word in there. Just now I rewrote it again to make it clearer (I hope). Here’s the new version:

“In addition, not all of those water molecules evaporating from the lake can stay in the vapor phase in the air.”

In about the 6th paragraph appears the sentence “In addition, the some of those water molecules evaporating from the lake can’t stay in the vapor phase in the air. ”

Should “the some” be read as “some” or “the sum of all of”?
