Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A simplified view on fields of modern physics theories. Please note that from a historical point of view, this diagram is very simplified. In fact, when quantum mechanics was originally formulated, it was applied to models whose correspondence limit was non-relativistic. Many attempts were made to merge quantum mechanics with special relativity with a covariant equation such as the Dirac equation. These days, relativistic quantum mechanics is now abandoned in favour of the quantum theory of fields.
